Profile "Reply to this comment"

Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to have all "Reply to this comment" on profiles link to the actual other person's profile. Because no one really checks everyone elses pages to see if they have replied. Any way to do this?

So you want to change current link 'Reply to this comment' from profile page to link on profile?

When you click on "Reply to this comment," you comment on your OWN page, just under the original comment. I want it so that I comment on THEIR profile page. Get it? I'm sure it's possible via few template and sql query changes. Any ideas?

Yes, but when you reply to someones comment, they will never know you replied. They must go on your profile to see that you have replied, which is very annoying, and people forget to check.

Maybe better email notifications about comments? ;)

NING handles "talkbacks" as you are suggesting.

I agree with AndreyP that this is unusual and very hard to follow threads.  I see your point, but I find it very confusing and hard to follow people's comments.  You end up clicking and several profiles looking for certain comments to "follow the trail".  Maybe putting comments in both places is a better solution?
