Quick search accidently emptied

This is a repost of mine from Expertzzz that never got answered there-

I have somehow emptied all the fields out of the "quick search" in the fields builder.  I thought I could just drag them back to the active area, but nothing will stick.  Strangely, the old Quick Search - with age, sex, etc. still appears on the homepage- though since it has no fields it should be empty.  Does anyone know what might be going on with this?

Thanks

Rob

Quick search at index page != quick search in Builders (of fields),

this is just block for Page Composer (index page)

quick search from builders (of fields)  = search.php page

watch a tutorial on how to reset. this will teach you a valuable tip...back up the table before you try new things so you can simply roll back

to get A bit back simply take the ones you need and add them

follow the vid exactly

Ahh.

I have a newer dolphin. (6.1) this toot is for 6.0

Nothing is the same...

there is no ProfilesDesc table

or any thing like that in the 61.sql file

I didn't know what to do to reset my Search fields but i dont want to reset my profile fields they are fine the way they are

i simply need the search things reset.

what i found in relation to the search stuff in my 61.sql that i also found in the phpmyadmin db stuff was like a few lines that were under LocalizationKeys

INSERT INTO `LocalizationKeys` VALUES(2116, 102, '_Advanced search');

INSERT INTO `LocalizationKeys` VALUES(2332, 2, '_Simple Search');

INSERT INTO `LocalizationKeys` VALUES(2333, 2, '_Advanced Search');

INSERT INTO `LocalizationKeys` VALUES(2754, 32, '_FieldCaption_General Info_Search');

INSERT INTO `LocalizationKeys` VALUES(2823, 1, '_Search by Tag');

INSERT INTO `LocalizationStrings` VALUES(616, 1, 'Quick Search');

i have no idea what to do.. could you make a new toot for 6.1?

im a noob with this stuff obviously

but im not dumb i could figure some stuff out if it was similar

im guessing and i dont want to mess stuff up

no idea if this helps but:

i am using

phpMyAdmin - 2.11.2.1 & MySQL client version: 5.0.16

The quick search you see in builder is no the one in the home page.

If it doesn't stick there. Goto phpmyadmin and add 1 field directly and then others will stick.

Solution for Dolphin 6.1.2, using phpMyAdmin 2..:

1. Open phpMyAdmin, select and backup the ProfileFields table

2. Open the ProfileFields table and select Browse

3. Look for "Misc Info" and note the ID#, the Type should be "block"

4. Edit the "Misc Info" and change "ViewMembOrder" to 1, make sure you uncheck the NULL box and click Go to save.

5. Go back to the Fields Builder in Admin and hit CTRL+F5 to clear the cache...the block should be in the Active Items.

6. You should now be able to add the blocks that you want there.
