RMS Issues, etc. etc. etc.

Okay, so here's the deal.  I'm paying a monthly fee for access to an RMS.  I could upload my own RMS, but I'm worried that if a lot of people are using the audio/video, it might slow down the rest of the site.

However, the RMS that I'm using goes down at least a few times a week.  This means that my chat no longer works (just spins and says connecting).

Sometimes my RMS provider has to restart the thing 2-3 times before it starts working again.  I don't understand this, but what do I know.

Here's the other thing.

If you disconnect the RMS so the chat works again, all the chat rooms are switched to regular chat.  But when you connect the RMS again, all the chat rooms stay with the other chat, so you have to start at zero chat rooms.  But you can't just recreate these chat rooms, because they still exist (on the non RMS chat).  Crazy eh.

Anyway, my final concern is this:  My chat rooms are getting very busy, and a lot of members are making use of the audio/video.  Some members complain that the video quality is not that good, and others complain that there is often a lag with the audio/video.

So is there anywhere I could pay a monthly fee for top notch, super duper RMS, or will it all be the same?  Will the video quality always be only satisfactory, and are these issues with lags simply inevitable.  Finally, is it reasonable to assume that any RMS server will stop working at least once or twice a week (and need to be restarted a few times).

I am absolutely okay with paying more, but I just don't want more of the same...

ARE ALL RAY MEDIA SERVERS CREATED EQUAL?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure DosDawg rents out a RMS. Haven't used it but he seems to be reliable.
