Zip Codes table

Hi, Can anyone shed any light on what the various fields in the zip codes table are for - some of them are of course quite obvious, but others seem quite mysterious. Specifically, ZIPCodeType (Options S/P/U), CityType (Options D/N/A), CountyFIPS, StateFIPS, MSA are fields I am not seeing the purpose of. Also, if some fields are not present, does it matter? Thanks

Hmmm - interesting, but doesn't really explain any of those fields in the Dolphin zip table as far as I can see.

Thanks

Thanks - thats what I needed to know. Seems like these are all fairly meaningless for Dolphin purposes ... except maybe for some very specialized types of community (unless I'm missing something).

Most are not important for general dolphin use and only for direct (snail)

mail type applications.

The exception would be the longitude and latitude if you want to figure

distances and radiuses, etc.

There is a USA database for free at http://www.expertzzz.com/Downloadz/view/2596 that has all the records with longitude, latitude, etc.
