close status message window upon return

Right now, when a user update their status message using the status message link in the member menu, the popup window does not disappear but stays "up" and, unlike the status message block on the profile page, there is no submit button. I would like to modify the record in the table so that when a user hits return, the window goes away without the user having to click the "minimize" button. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix or do that ? Much appreciated! Using Dolphin 7.0.2.
