enable user to put a link to their page

a simple question, how am i gonna allow the user to put their own link on their page? like for example, the field is "website" and put their own website there.

One way to do this is to make a custom block for your "website" field, then put that block on the pages you want.  This procedure by okweb can be modified to get what you want (remove Skype, Yahoo, etc): http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/#topic/Render-as-HTML.htm

I still haven't figured how to add MSN status. MSN is slightly different then the others.

Praveenkv1988 at Expertzzz has a mod allowing html in text area on profiles - I am using it and it works great.  Members can add banners, hyperlinked websites, etc to their profiles.
