facebook connect in 7.3.3 redirect_uri problem...

I followed AlexT's directions here:

https://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/How-to-setup-Facebook-Connect-module.htm

really close, but still get this error right as it submits to facebook.

"Error validating verification code. Please make sure your redirect_uri is identical  to the one you used in the OAuth dialog request"

ffollowing the directions there was never a place to enter the redirect uri, as far as i can tell.

the callback looks like this:

http://site-name.com/m/facebook_connect/login_callback?code=12345...

as near as google could tell me there could be a backslash problem in the address?

or - the setup instructions missed a step where the redirect_uri should have been given to facebook?

or- not sure... any help appreciated,

thanks

david

I just Don't know where to insert this in the facebook settings..

AlexT:

I had that filled in... perhaps i had the wrong url?

I think i discovered what i did wrong, still have to test it though.  If i am correct then I will have to create a SSL cert and the redirect url has to be "https://"  .... Is that correct?

i noticed that you posted a link to the Terms page. Did i do something wrong? if so my apologies in advance and thanks for the reply.

here is the article from 2011 that seems to say i should be using ssl for the redirect URl

HTTPS shouldn't be the problem, you can test on demo.boonex.com - there is no HTTPS there and facebook connect works just fine.

I get this

App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions.

Everyday is a new beginning.

You need to make Facebook App public to allow to use it by anyone, you can do this here:

1) What should I write in the field "Valid OAuth redirect URls"???

2) I have version 1.1.5 of the Facebook Connect module. Is this version workable?

Current version  is "1.3.3", I think your version is too old. There were many changed on Facebook side since then.

Can't load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and sub-domains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings.

App Id done

App secret done

I would suggest upgrading to Dolphin 7.3.4, it includes latest Facebook SDK and some fixes

Hello HappyCabbage!

Please specify "which exactly" error do you have with Facebook connection module? I'm asking because this thread contains several types of errors.

With the best regards, Leonid

Hello Senthur!

Regarding your problem in another post you should check your Facebook Api settings in your developer account. Also, you must ensure that your access token is active.

I am having this same issue. Can't Load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and subdomains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings.

I followed all instructions and have the current version of Dolphin.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
