hai there. My site is almost done, thanks to a lot of work and help from some people over here (Thx!) . I closed the site for outsiders, its only available at invitation. Only now I dont know how to invite people! In the footer of the page is a link "Invite friends" but it doesn't work for this option. Cause that link only send an email to my friends with the link of the site. When they get there they still see this message:"invitation members only!"
so my question :"how am I suppose to invite my members?"

what you mean? it is not in the program? I should find a paid one? I thought it was in the program since it is possible to lock everything up voor not invited people....

When it send an email to that friend, it has a member link after your site (ex. www.yoursite.com/?ID=1)
When they click that link, yes it does take them to your homepage. They need to click JOIN from there. If they click anything else other then join, it removes the ID from the link and they will not be able to join.

Yeah, that is an okweb fix. You would think that Boonex would just follow that guy around and put everything he has fixed in the program, but they don't like using the solutions this community generates for some reason. |
well if they promote that it is possible to work with invitation only, you would asume it works without making changes in the HTML

Actually, I only wanted to invite people, so I enabled 'registration by invitation only' then figured out that I should be using a url like this: www.MyWebsite.com/?idFriend=1
