install without ffmpeg?

Can dolphin be installed without ffmpeg if I do not intend to use any media features?  I just want the platform with profiles, private messaging, ecommerce and blogs.

Dolphin 7 is modularized, meaning features can be enabled or disabled by installing/uninstalling their respected modules. If you do not wish to have any video features enabled on your web site, you do not need to install the appropriate modules.

For the installation procedure, ensure ffmpeg.exe has the proper permission level to pass the preinstallation permission check, and then proceed with the installation as normal. You can either leave ffmpeg.exe be, or delete it, but it doesn't really matter.

I did go through and remove video instances etc from the menus.  I do want to use the store which has a dependency on the video module.  Testing through it, it seems like your idea is indeed sound.  I think the only caveat is that in the store setup there is a spot for screencast upload, which I do not want but maybe I could delete the reference/fields in the code for the store 'add product' area.

Does anyone know where I can remove the form fields for adding a new store item?  I am not seeing anything in admin and looking through the files do not immediately see a reference or form fields.
