I'd like to use the s3slider plugin (referenced here: http://www.serie3.info/s3slider/index.php) to work on my homepage and have it display the latest article feed.
I have gotten it to work by adding the snippets in their respective locations (_header, general css and creating html block). The script functions, but it throws some things out of alignment (text boxes, ads listings, profile fields). I thought it was the CSS at first, but I removed them completely and everything was out of alignment until I removed the header information I'm now thinking it might have to do with the jquery.js getting called by dolphin, then by this little mod with separate parameters?
I'm just a hack when it comes to doing this stuff right - so my first question, is there a better way to attempt this? I'm really just trying to get an article image background with the article text excerpt in a transparent box in front of it - and having it scroll through a few articles. I have no idea where to start with variables to get the actual feed to work, I was just going to have them remain static and edit the block every time I wanted to feature a new article within it.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
