working with git

i am kind of new in this area. but i really like the concept of commit push-pull thing.

my cloud also support it.

i wanted to re-create my website from scratch with git. my plan was:

pull the git dolphin pro 7.2 from github to my pc

work on it local an push changes to the live website.

but there is a problem. when the users uploading photos, videos etc.

and then i push my changes back to the server it deletes them.

i heard about git ignore but there unknown areas besides "mouduls/photos" in dol that may

cause problem when pushing.

i really trying to figure this out. i have no idea but returning to old ftp ways

i guess that if i could only submit the specific files i worked with it will do

I believe that this idea should work!

I can suggest .gitignore from Trident - https://github.com/boonex/trident/blob/master/.gitignore - it is very similar to Dolphin.Pro, but many other folders/files must be added

Or we'll move Dolphin.Pro to cloud soon, so if you wait 1-2 weeks you'll have .gitignore for Dolphin.Pro

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
