The idea is that the user nickname and all the rest of the info is gathered and transferred to my site. Also an email should be sent to the user to remind them about the registration

Hello. I have a number of connect modules in the market. I could do a instagram module as well. That one is not on the top of my list due to the number of fields instagram returns in it's api. You should be aware that instagram only retrives username, profile name, profile photo, and bio(same as dolphins description). Two normally required fields such as DOB and Email are not provided by the API Thus they would have to be prompted for. Because their api does not return much data to create an account see more
