I know I might be breaking a rule or 3 but I guess I will ask for forgivness rather than permission.  I am new to Dolphin and know very little.  I have came along way just over the last couple of days.  I would like some help on learning more about what I can do with Dolphin 7.  In the end I want to make a dating and social site.  i would like to make some money you know.   I have other sites and they are just getting started.  I want to learn how to change the membership levels.  I dont understand it.  ok I ask if there is anything I can do   Help

1. Use the search function in the forums, it will teach you a great deal of things.

2. Select an Agent. They will be able to answer the more technical questions that the forum doesn't answer.

3. Dump all your fears and just say screw it. Jump over the edge of the cliff into D's source code and really begin learning how it interacts with all the other parts of it, kill everything you've ever learned about coding rules and just start having fun with it. D breaks a lot of the traditional see more coding rules as it comes together and that's half of what gives it all it's power.

4. Ask questions 1 per thread in the forums and take whatever the veteran members say as being truthful but with a couple tons of salt also, many of us can be a little harsh but it's all in fun in the end.

Hmmm.... Things to keep away....(humor)

Any weapon grade particles - when you want to open and explore a code
Any offensive slang - when you want to post something forums and wait for the answer
Any references of your smartness in your brain - while you want to post in blogs in unity
Any amount of transaction materials[Money,Card, bank accounts] - when you are in unity market

better isolate yourself from the society when you want to deal anything with Dolphin/Unity etc.

or its better to see more understand/accept the way it was...

" Well put by Mydatery!!

if you are a Look under the hood type Person... Remember to backup if your going see more on a mission and hey you may totaly screw something up but if you took a few minutes to backup it will save you a whole bunch of trouble!!!

Monetizing Your Website can be tricky... I would think to a specifc niche...

I realy think a simple site is best and if you can offer something of value you have it!!

To Join FaceBook it is almost... INSTANT
Users provided Content!!! Simple

Twitter people tweet so much it is a wonder they dont grow wings

Craigs list is far from web 2.0 but its simple and fast

Plent of Fish its free and with 17 million plus users it has content

There are numerous examples of the Big Guys

I can remeber reading a article about a person starting a wesite about juggling
he started with a basic blog on how to juggle realy simple then as he started recieving traffic he decided to add simple items used for juggling for sale
The site's Gross anual sales is around $200,000 and all sales are drop shipped so the site makes the owner around 50,000 a year and basicly he does nothing but sign his check!!

Just ideas!!!

Best Regards,
Gotgoblin
