Are You Someone That Needs Help And Cant Seem To Get The Help Needed?

Ok if you feel like you been in this situation before not getting the proper care and where you have posted in the forums 1 day ago or 1 month ago or even 1 year ago and have left or have given up  then came back to realize that your questions have still NOT been answered in the forums or even being told to shut up or what ever you have encountered threw your journey.

 

Im sick and tired of seeing users leave cause of not being helped on the forums and I would prefer we all get a Idea on how many users feel the same way and how we all can change this to make it more succesful and to put smiles on peoples faces, i prefer to see people happy and i would prefer people to stay with BOONEX, then packing up and leaving.

I agree totally.

I think we need a "Start Here If You Are New" or a noobie blog. I have one on my nerd site but it's all over the place and not very organized. I'd love to write one if BoonEx agrees.

It would be like a $5 tour of the BoonEx and its products. Then start them off to a few simple tutorials.

The one I get the most requests for was "How do I add my logo?" I got that so many times, I made a tutorial and it helped. Then I did a bit more.

yes we need more support in the forums and we gotta try to focus more towards the forums at this point in time

yah i did write that and I get support but only threw emails not on the BLOGS nor FORUMS, so yes that is true, but im relating to what goes on here on the BLOGS and FORUMS.

not everyone gets support on the other side and this is where im pointing out the weakness that this site has towards our members.

I agree 100%. In fact even if it is a nudge in the right direction I believe some kind of answer is better then leaving them thinking they are yelling into a well.

Regardless of any past squabbles, or tiffs, his current statement and current blog are accurate. It is the newbies who need some type of help...and hopefully those of us who have been using can help each other with more advanced issues. If we stop reading between the lines and address the heart of the current issue and topic we may find an end to these tiffs and squabbles. I went silent here a while ago due to the drama, and no no big threat but that is not what I am here for.

What we need to do is reflect on our own mistakes and what we failed to realize, fighting or dramma or bickering aint going to get the job done guys!

What I would like from all of us to do is to help others out there that are searching for answers, right at this moment in time.

Lets for a change let others voice what they want to see for a change on BOONEX and what we can do to help people more out over at the orca forums, where alot of problems go unsolved.

Right now my true focus is to see more stay on this blog topic and deal with our own mistakes and how we all can achive a better plan to help out 1 another from the HEART & SOUL.

This right now is not about just us and our needs, its for all them people crying at home or leaving cause there wasnt anyone to help to begin with or at least an answer to what has been asked over there on the orca forums.

Bottom line take any Blog or forum entry. Not to many posts in it turns into an arguement and bashing and any number of other topics having nothing to do with the original post or question. Look where this one has gone. We all want mom and dad at Boonex do design great software and release the next great upgrade or release. However how much work can mom and dad do when they are constently seperating the fighting kids? If we, as we are able, help with questions, and stop fighting amongst ourselves, see more our great friends at Boonex may be able to get some work done.
I also agree, especially with jtadeo proposal.

I have received a lot of help in the past, but most of it was off site help reading boonexnerd.com or from gameutopia or Mscott or mrpowless.

Even a google search found answers for me easier than a search here.

I started out as totally new to Boonex and I have always said that this place is very intimidating to a new person just discovering Dolphin. It's more geared to experienced people.

A noob section would be a wonderful thing for the see more uninitiated.

I am new to Boonex. While I have yet to have the experience of not having someone reply to a question in the forums, I have seen it happen.

I have also sent a private message through the site, and received no reply as of yet, but I know that they are very busy with the many changes going on, and my note is not in any way mission critical or anything. I am content to wait.

I think that a "start here" is a very good idea.

It won't fix everything, though.

There will always be see more people (I used to be one of them) who will ignore all of the written documentation, even if they have a question, and simply post.

I taught classes online for 12 years, and even people who paid for lessons would often not actually read them.

That is why I take the time to read back into forums and docs before I even introduce myself to the community. I respect the time of those that offer help the way I hope that others respect mine. *smiles*

Technoman, I have posts that have been unanswered. I think in some cases I have asked for details on mods that others are selling (signatures in forums for example) - Perhaps the lack of response is because those who know the answer prefer to sell the information rather than give it away for free?

This is one of the biggest differences between Dolphin and other open source apps.

Jtadeo I agree, a noob section would be a great idea.

What if there was a seperation in the Dolphin forums between operation of built in features say and modification or even install versus errors? I am simply asking what others would feel about narrowing down the categories in some manner similiar to that?

I think there should be slight change to how the forum is dispalyed for the viewer and also a mod to disbale double duplicate questions of such and a guide to easier search on the forums ...
