tango3d
could be a temporary problem with your host

Hello DosDawg, I didn't change the path during install, the site has been running well since 6.1 first came out (re database anyway). I haven't had the problem since I posted. I think tango3d may be right.

Thanks guy's

This can happen when there are many queries to your database server.

Did you ever find out what was up with the database error?

I'm having the same problem and I'm definitely not getting too many queries. I've had this problem for several weeks now, so I know it's not a temporary hosting issue.

One of my beta testers told me that she finally took a look at my site and was not able to look at the profile I set up as a test.

Ooh! Frustrating. I'm trying to get ready to launch next week but I won't be able to if I can't get this glitch fixed.

I get this error when my linux server boots "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock" but it has never affected my sql databases.

Are you hosting your own webserver or are you going through a hosting company?
