Classic Dolphin Releases

Nothing extremely exciting but I did came across this today that I thought was a little interesting.

 

Anyone interested in some older releases I will call classic-dolphin versions. All the way back to the 50's, '53 actually, well not quite v5.3 though.

 

Probably not to many of you, but it's kind of interesting if you follow the script.

All the way back to version 5.3 and even a thanksgiving edition in there. I don't remember this one for sure. Back to November 2006 at least according to the last modified/upload details. Size of Dolphin 5.3 says 2.7M. Dolphin 6.1x is around 10M zipped up anyway.

 

If anyone has ever used Dolphin 5.6 or less you would be amazed at the changes and features that Dolphin 6.1x has compared to these previous versions.

 

I looked at Dolphin 5.4, demo'd 5.5 some, and my first install was an early 5.6. Seems like it was much longer ago than sourceforge dates reflect.

It's kind of interesting to see the dates/history.

I still stumble across a Dolphin 5.5 or 5.6 web site from time to time.

If you want - we will delete ffmpeg.exe from our package,
so you will need download several files from external sources :)
ffmpeg.exe is main big element here

Hey no worrys. I wasn't complaining about the size or anything else for that matter. Really only takes a few seconds to download 10 MB's.

I was just trying to point out the history and the downloads that still exist that's all. I think it's really cool that these are still out there.

Definitely keep ffmpeg in there.

It was a decent joke and reply until you know who chimed in with a bunch of nothing. I thought it was good. And I highgly doubt this techno idiot even has a clue.

Hey dip shit do you really know what he is referring to? I doubt it, what he is saying is they can reduce the file size by removing ffmpeg from the zip which takes up like 6-7mb's yes that will reduce the file size considerably, but most people will not have a clue where to get ffmpeg for windows or linux.

so either he misunderstud the post, which was originally intended for the retro idea which most are not familiar with. Or he was flicking me crap, which is understandable too. I can easily download see more ffmpeg elsewhere and integrate it but my guess most will not know how to do it.

So once again. You seem to have have a problem with a simple post meant to be informative and praising boonex for their work, yet it's obvious you don't understand jack. Other than to kiss ass or something.

Forgive me myself and I for posting positive replies for people you don't like or have issues with, or anyone else that don't sell mods for free or whatever it is you are after without taxing them or something.
