How and when shall ray.sh be executed..

CampethoMedia posted 13th of June 2008 in Community Voice. 7 comments.

From where is the ray.sh executed to cheque the RMS after setting permissions? Can I run it from the browser or another place and does it matter if the test is running before proceeding with the installation?

you need to run it from the shell command prompt.
if you have shell access then you need to login with putty and navigate to the file to run it

I have navigated to the directory where ray.sh resides with PuTTY- but I'm not familiar how to execute it (invoke the command)

Goto the dir where it is present and then execute by following command.

./ray.sh

praveenky you are not helping the matter by posting a response. have you read the rules of the blogs and forums prav?

as you well know, this information can get scattered from here to galatic statospheres if not controlled.

prav, be part of the solution, not part of the problem

You can`t run SH file via browser, this is just shell file with a commands :)
usually ray_server located in /opt/ folder of server, so browser can`t locate it in any case, just because this is not www folder :)
