Dwain is now accepted as one more Moderator of Unity.

We are very happy to announce this fact.

Welcome, Dwain!

note: Moderators can't access personal account data. Moderators can't see or suspend licenses. Moderators can't delete any content.

Moderators can "hide" content and "report" content so that Admins would check it promptly. The final say is always from Admin.

westmerch
lol, end of july i believe:)

and why are people giving you a thumbs down for asking the question that I'm sure 90% of us want to know. I gave you a thumbs up. I guarantee the majority of visitors to this forum care much more about the release of Dolphin 7 than if Dwain became a moderator (no offence Dwain, and congrats).

It was supposed to be June 20, but then there was a later mention that it could take another week or so. I'm sure most of us our curious if there will be any more delays. Nevertheless, I love Dolphin and see more will wait for as long as it takes.

I believe the thumbs down is because this blog is about Moderators not release dates. Kab go to trac and click on roadmap it will tell you there.

I don't know Dwain very well, I'm sure he will be a fine moderator, but what is really needed on the forums is technical support from Boonex. People who are selling Dolphin related services often have a different perspective from other members and I don't think you should select any more of them as "moderators". They may help people on occasion, but their real objective is to sell some service. Other members help each other because they are dealing with the same real world technical see more situations, not because they want to use the forums as leverage to sell something.

Boonex seems to see the moderators role as controlling the abuse caused by a few members - that is certainly needed, but what is needed much more is answers to our questions when we are stumped. With the exception of Andrey who occasionally jumps in and tries to help, Boonex almost never helps anyone on the forums.

I second the emotion Caltrade!

We need more OFFICIAL answers in the forums than moderators ....

What up dwain my main mayne
Thank you all.

This caught me by surprise as I have been away visiting my daughter in Ohio and away from my computer.

I consider it an honor to be selected as a moderator and I will do my best to help make Unity a friendlier and better place.

I'm sorry to be a contrarian here, but I think Dwain has proven himself to be a horrible moderator. He kills posts for the worst possible reason - simply because he doesn't like it. I couldn't understand all the praise here for Dwain, because in the 18 months or so I have been here, I have never seen him help anyone or for that matter, contribute anything at all. In fact, at the time this was posted I noticed he only had made five posts total, so I assume you were all just giving polite well wishes see more to someone you didn't know. One of the first things Dwain did with this new "authority" was censor one of my posts. I had posted something I thought would be considered to be upbeat and positive on my blog - but was shocked to see him make a mean spirited personal attack in the comments on that blog. I went to respond, but it was too late - he had censored it. As far as I know, this is the only action he has ever done here. I won't tell you about the horrible subversive nature of the material I posted, but you should be aware that Dwain has decided you are not adult enough to decide for yourself if this was material you should read. Making the decision that Boonex should now be a censored site is a pretty big decision for a newbie - especially one who has never helped anyone.
