  1. Where is the list of Dolphin 7.0 Experts that can be retained to run our sites?
  2. Where are the "professionals?"

Please respond and list all consultants; private contracts; etc. here!

Send me your qualifications directly here: and all other professionals should list here as well; there are others looking for someone that knows what the "heck" they are doing with this software! LOL! Thanks!

You can spend a little time in the forums and get to know many of the people. You will have certain ones jump up to recommend themselves and others that will tell you to run like crazy from certain individuals. Best I can say...

HoustonLively
Caltrade (I gotta make the recommendation, he does understand it's management I begrudgingly admit)
Magnasoft
Killerhaii
mrpowless (one of the best choices)
Zarcon
Bigal
Codesatori
Mydatery (what, you thought I'd leave myself out of this list? see more Yeah, right)
Dosdawg (owns Terabyte Hosting)
Mastermindsro
Guypc

I can keep going, the trick is for you to talk to each. See who's interested and then if they have the skills your looking for. There are a lot more people around here than this that know the software and would be a good choice. Many on the list may choose to not take on your project because of other committments they have. Myself for example, not really looking for additional items right now and would probably veer off a full running of someone else's site, just can't commit to something that time consuming and neglect my other obligations.

Word to the wise: If someone recommends themselves, publicly or privately, please talk with the other members (multiple members) and get feedback on that individual. Not all are as ethical as others the same as none of us know this script 100%, each of us has a specialty we do.

This normally belongs in the Market, but your not a Premium member so you can't even post this there. That's a shortcoming that Uno seems to have missed when he posted the membership permissions.

@mydatery

That shortcoming is not all that incidental. It is my believe that if someone is seriously going to spend some money or time doing something with Dolphin and if this goes as far is using Market, then 20$ shouldn't be an obstacle. That membership fee serves like a good differentiator and raises the bar a bit.

It's more of a Catch-22, Andrew.

I'm with Magn I've spent well over 10000 US on my site with dolphin prime and mods and as I don't want to use D7 I can,t even list my site!!!! great community (NOT) sorry bit off topic to the original question. As a User and not a Moder I miss Expertzzz you should have cleaned it up this market is crud!!! so I don't see how it raises the bar when some scammer thieves pay the $20 and get in..... how does it HELP please explain.

As a site owner I have used many from the community and have had see more some good and some bad experiences.

I had many mods made for my site as the standard mods did not meet my needs.

Mydatery has been fantastic his work ethics are great and pays great attention to detail ( I'm a fussy bastard )
Expertx Some good work done was a little hard to get a hold of at times but work was good.
Dolphinmods I liked his mods but he is hard to get a hold of never answers mails service is crap if you can not do it yourself you are up shit creek.
Scriptologist Very professional service quick to response and to get the job done.
JooSocial Also very professional refunded with no questions asked when he was unable to deliver ( Would choose him again )
kolimarfey Helped me to bug fix and was very fast.
Alexander Done a fantastic job on a mod for me to allow background images in the ray chat.
Rays Was fast to jump in and solve problems

You will need a lot of time and cash to get Dolphin to be a good site it is in no way out of the box ready to run. Orca needs to be turned off and get a real forum in its place. Then there is just bug fixing, Dolphin is like windows it's not a bug it's a feature.

Don't believe the title " Dolphin 7 Everything included " Bold statement ...... If it was a car it would be on the showroom floor with only 3 wheels, no seat belts, it would also have no engine faults that cause it to stall.

$10,000 for a site is a heck of a lot of money, if that figure is just for the price of the software and bundled modifications. To tell you the truth, I have a hard time wrapping my head around it. If you spend 1/10 of your capital for the software, and 9/10 into making it work the way you want it to, it just doesn't sound right... A 50/50 cost split for software and modifications is more within reason in the world I come from.

yeah the 10,000 is for Mods, Prime, Graphical work, Bug fixing, Grammar work, have started the marketing side of things and have a 2 year plan to make it or break it.... Plan to spend a lot more on marketing than 10,000 for things like radio ads, Magazines ( woman's mags are in doctors and dentist waiting rooms for year ) Lets face it the big guns have the cash to put us little fish into the ground if they want so if you are not going to put into your site there is not much hope in having a site see more that turns over dollars.
