I love the direction that your going in. I like the couple/groups idea. I also like the avatar feature. A few suggestions though:
1. I still think the music play is still WAY to big. It really doesnt serve a purpose (being so big). The graphics idea for the player is cool. But it would have to be set-up like windows media player graphics , to really serve a purpose. For instance, a member who uploads a song could choose between some really trippy graphics options to show when another member plays see more the song. It's probably a hell of a lot of programming, but its the only way that I can see it being useful.
2. The box where you add a comment to someone's wall is gigantor as well. It just seems as though that section could be slimmed up quite a bit.
3. Lastly, I think it would be very useful to have a locked photos and locked videos section. A member would still have their public album and photos section, but they would also have a separate locked albums and photos section. Only other members who have been given the correct permissions can view them. ...Or maybe have to have a password pre-selected by the member with the locked photos.
