This is a feature that doesn't get a lot of attention, but it is a useful feature for organizing thing like golf tournaments, sports leagues... etc.
I'd like to see events include a forum, just like groups, instead of just comments. It would be nice to have threaded discussions when organizing some events. Multiple photos (maximum set in admin) would be nice, and a Google map of the event location would be a great enhancement.
Not now, but sometime in the future, I can see how see more the ability for registrants to make online payments for an event would be a very useful feature for event administrators. To that end, it might be wise to enhance event creation with input fields for address info, etc ...... you'll need that for a Google map anyway.
I may create a blog about what I'd like to see in an events module. I don't want to go into too much detail here
