absolutely,this would be an option, however, you have those who just as the gift basket person, chooses to whatever is self serving, and have no regards for the rules as they are. this site provides for an ads area, does not work that i am aware of, but the section is here. you dont see this same type of advert being posted on some of the more prominent sites, because that persons IP would be banned immediately.

I have seen forums, where you have to earn your existence, and posting see more of adverts is not permitted until you have a track record of being a member, not a fly by nite spam the site advertising.

the problem with what you suggest in moving an advert where it should be placed is troublesome. now consider 100k people, posting adverts in their wrong location, do you know how much time and effort it would use to get those in as you mention "proper place"? its not that simple, i think that from my perspective, if i were looking for something, i am savvy enough to use google or yahoo search, in regards to gift baskets, or male enhancement drugs. as you well know this forum and whatever area was allocated would be full of those types of adverts. look at what is going on with twitter, the spam is hideous.

i think the ads section on the site should be fixed, it has not worked for a user IMHO, or else my ads are just getting tossed, dont know, but there is a section for placing adverts, the blogs and the forum are not the section. so my question was, just to reiterate, should the blogs be used for adverts?

I would suppose not, as this was determined when this site was launched. I have had some ads that i would like to run as well, the ads section does not work, so i had to move on, and so should the person with the gift baskets.
