In reply to Thumbs Voting

technoman, not ignoring you, just had other things going on. ok here is the deal. no post, no vote, how i would envision this working.

users can post to any blog(s) and with that post, they are entitled to one vote per username. how do you curtail a member from creating multi-accounts, well i have thought about this as well. boonex could if they wanted to implement a pruner cron, if the members username, would be created and no domain name registered to the license number, free or otherwise, see more then the username would be pruned after notification, and a short period of time, say something like a confirmation when you join other sites, forums or blogs.

as it is now, a member can only vote one time per comment on here. so that is a good thing. the other positive is that if a person has to comment to be able to vote, that person could be moderated, and warned about continuous negative votes, and if the post didnt present a valid point as to the disagreement, then that post would be moderated, and the negative count would be removed.

i think we need to ponder on this, as i believe it could be refined so that it wouldnt be considered censorship or czar like moderation.

let me know technoman, this could prove to be an interesting topic overall.

DosDawg
