I know that the plans are not "completely" in place yet, but the more I read the blog by Andrew, this is the picture that Im seeing come together:

- Boonex develops the code for Dolphin
- Boonex posts a new link with download

and from there......

- Unity Members download newest Dolphin version
- Unity Members install Dolphin
- Unity Members test all functions of Dolphin using different OS's, hosting platforms, browsers, etc. Acting as the QA department for Boonex.
- Unity Members see more post problems located within Dolphin's coding, functions, SQL, cosmetics, and whatever else in the forums
- Specific Unity Members (you know who you are) provide technical support to other Unity members, acting as Boonex's technical support team.
- Same Unity team requests tickets, hoping they will be created
- Unity Members wait for updated version and do it all over again.

So with that being said, you can pay a one-time fee of $5 and become what we currently are, but now called "Advanced Members".

For those of who do not wish to sell anything but would like the option to create Trac tickets have to pay $20 a month??? I have to agree with HoustonLively on that one as well. There should be an in-between.

Right now, a specific handful of people give 110% to Unity and its members to dedicate LOTS of time testing and helping others. All with the hope that maybe one day we can advance to the next membership level and get a few more permissions. I know it doesn't seem like much, but to us, at least its a recognition for what we do for the Boonex community.

Although I like "most" of the new idea, I hope there is more in the planning for this. I would hate to see people just give up on helping others and testing the product because they now have to pay a fee to get noticed. IF we all decided not to pay the fee's then who would be their QA and Technical Support team? I see it as they need us just as much as we need them. But like I said, maybe there is more to this that what we know right now. But it will be interesting. I don't mind paying $5 at all for you to verify my identity, but I do not have ANY intentions of selling anything.

My suggestion to Boonex is to make sure you have something in place for those of us who dedicate our time and efforts to help others and YOU! A reward of some sort should be in place for us too, without us having to pay you for it. This will give us the motivation to continue giving the support and feedback that we currently do now, if not more.

Please note, that I am in no way complaining or bashing. I have not heard ALL the details yet. But we ALL agree that a change is need :)
