I'm currently with Arvixe. I had an issue with a CPU usage spike and got suspended within a few days. My site was just installed with me being the only member. Stange how I could spike with no users.
Switched to HostForWeb and it was horrible. Account creating was basically nothing. No index or any type of a landing page. Dropped right into folder lever. Never saw a host do that. A clean install of Dolphin would not work. Took several support tickets to get things working. Each time see more I questioned why Dolphin wouldn't work when I purchased Dolphin hosting, my question was ignored and never got an answer. Fearing more problems I gave up and left. Didn't like their "cartoony" themed cPanel either.
Went back to Arvixe, everything works out of the box. Have had no problems since, but I do notice the site is getting slower since the server is filling up. Seems they like to over crowd them with 300-500 sites. 93 sites on the server when I signed up, now 280 and climbing. So i'm on the fence with Arvixe, but whatever I try to run there works, so that's keeping me there for now.
IX Webhosting was my host for several years before Dolphin. Support was awesome and fast. Servers were slow as molasses but they worked. Dolphin ran nicely there, but they have their own control panel and do things where we could not get cron jobs to work. Speed and crons were my only reasons to leave. Other than that, good experiences with them.
