I've only had good experiences with knownhost.com VPSes over the last four years. You get what you pay for, and in general stuff works (with a decent 99.995% average uptime).

In general, "unlimited" offers, along with bucket hosts who cram their servers and have overselling as a central part of their business model, are best kept at a safe distance. Seen enough of those, fortunately went through the cheapo hop only a couple of times myself back in the days.
