Text signatures have almost no value. I won't get into all the details of why, look it up it's no secret. Maybe some will post a little more, but in reality it has little to no value. Really can't we do it right now if we want to just do a simple:

But it don't matter much. Sites that allow clickable signatures can be popular because they have search engine value. But they do tend to be abused.

The point is that signatures are supposed to be a frequently re-used piece of text that identifies yourself you in a way you want to presented. Just a thing to help you save time on "Best regards, Tomas The Cat" thing. And if you have to include a URL of yoru sit e- fine - those interested will see it and will be able to look it up. A link, however, has a lot more issues in it.

And another benefit - signatures populate to all posts - something you can't do with
