Configuring It A Bit might be easy for some but I am the Pastor of a Church and not a Programmer. We have plenty of imagination but we don't have the computer skills to tackle a complex script like Dolphin. Especially when Boonex offers very little HELP! It's easy if you know How!

The SmartPro package is not free! We paid a thousand dollars with the anticipation of getting professional grade business software when in reality what we received was hardly more than an intermediate Beta version. We see more

It is at least comforting to know that you are still around and reading what is being posted. I don't know how long you have been a part of this "community" but I have been for several years now. And I can sympathize with your plight of loosing over a $1000 especially since I am in that same boat. Only for what may be much different reasons.

When I started out here at Boonex...Dolphin, Barracuda and Orca were already free software to use but Ray Media server was over $300. see more So I bought Ray and 3 templates, which were $20 each, and several more mods, which were also $20 and the instillation for all of them as well which was also $20 a piece to have installed and despite whether or not the actual program, template, mod or what ever was itself free.

And to let you know what the instillation was like back then...here it is. I had ATTEMPTS at doing them by Artur at Boonex so many times that I have lost count of them. And when I say "attempts" I mean that he tried to perform the instillation repeatedly in good faith but was kept from performing them each time because I had something which I had not taken care of...usually something as simple as having my domain name pointed in the right direction. Also I was constantly wanting him to perform the instillations on some new hosting provider I had chosen. And despite all the time he wasted trying to do what would have been a very simply job if I had everything set for him...he never once complained even despite when I sent a very angry flame to him and which was do entirely to my own frustration and not to anything he was doing wrong.

And that isn't the half of it. I eventually ended up having my site installed on an extremely expensive hosting provider. To make a long story short...they sold me a bill of server goods and bandwidth that I never used and I was paying them more per month than I had paid for all of the software AND the instillations I had paid to Boonex. Meanwhile Boonex was bending over backwards to try and have the software work on those expensive asshole's server while the hosting provider itself didn't provide squat in the way of support except to say they couldn't help out(much like the assholes who ripped you off)...and despite the fact that in the industry, even most CHEAP hosting companies will say that they will help you with the installation of the software you will be using on their server.

All in all, I have probably swallowed close to, if not more than, $1500 to $2000 as well as you learning some very hard lessons. Including having my site installed again, and finally, on another very reasonable hosting provider only to have a very well meaning, and computer competent in many many ways friend, talk me into deleting the entire installation so he could learn from the inside how the instillation is to be performed and how Dolphin script works. And credit where credit is due because he did teach mer a lot of technical stuff I would not have known otherwise.

Still now I have TWO sites installed. One installed back on the inexpensive hosting provider I was just telling you about and another on a sever that is owned by an acquaintance of my computer savvy friend. But OMG I am ashamed to say that neither of them are public yet and neither of them has RMS being utilized...not even on the free server that Boonex provides to contributors and that I am entitled to use for free. But hopefully, and I know sometimes hope seems to be all we have to live on, the two sites will be going public and both be using RMS some time soon.

I could piss and moan that I should have waited until Boonex made Ray as free to use as the other software...and made the templates that I paid for free as well and provided more free mods and plug ins and waited and waited until it was also totally bug free and waited for a lot of other things as well. But I also have a another friend who is waiting to buy a computer, and has been for about 4 years now, because he always hears or reads if he waits just a bit longer...he will get a better deal. And he may very well die waiting for a better deal...as for myself, I wish that I could provide more impute here and get more guidance, as well, by reading a lot of the new information or solutions to this or that bug...or just keeping up with some of the good gossip. Like who has the most friends, who just joined and among a lot of other gossip who the fuck gets my jokes...just silly little trivial things like that. Because when push comes to shove...there really is something a lot more important going on here...than the software. But that you just have to just feel because it doesn't lend itself to any kind of "rational" explanation.

But just as an aside, Juker, I don't know why you feel the need to use 6.1 immediately. Nothing wrong with waiting another 6 months like you suggested. And I hope you hang in there! After all, bro, Rome wasn't destroyed over nite ya know! Nor will the war machine unfortunately...unless we all start throwing our monkey wrenches and screwdrivers and hammers and scythes and old TV sets and outdated CPUs and our own corpses and everything else we can find into it...because unlike Boonex's commitment to what we all envision, how ever fraught with bugs and mosquitoes and termites and cockroaches the script has been...depleted uranium's half life is 4.5 BILLION years! And there are armies EVERYWHERE working on that scatological script...in order to impregnate the Earth with it. ;-)

EVERYONE, TAKE OVER THE EARTH! SHE IS BEGGING TO FALL INTO OUR ARMS!
And damed, but if we all didn't know what we could do with the trillions they throw away...trying to embrace all the generations yet to be with the blows from nuclear arms! Bounce a check at Wal-Mart...and take them to court on the grounds they employ children and they sell stolen property...which are both true. And refuse to put razor wire at the top of the fence surrounding your prison walls...though many have already sucumed to such strange habits.
