Coupons Mod Support (Modzzz) - part 2

Is the Action "Feature Coupon" option here chargeable?

On my home page (index), I cannot get the Featured Coupon Block to show, works fine on the Coupon Home Page.

What I see in the blocks in the admin section is this description of the featured coupon;

_modzzz_coupons_block_featured

Any thoughts?

Coupons mod has a tabbed block on homepage that allows toggling between Featured,Recent,Top,Popular coupon listings. The separate featured entry showing up in the page builder is invalid and will be removed in the next release.

 It's a shame. Cause if I wanted both (featured and Recent) as two separate blocks that would be ideal. I am surprised that there are not multiple blocks on all mods (recent, featured, popular) in the block builder and each block has the other two options built into it. That gives the site admin complete flexibility on how to display each block. So I could have 3 blocks or one or two, depending on what i needed.  I think removing this block will reduce the versatility.

When you have a limited number of coupons and you allow only say 1 only for a member to print, where does it show how many are left and how many are printed already? I thought I saw this some place, but I cannot find it anymore.

What is the Stats Block in Coupon View for?

NOTE - The Stats Block Only Shows if you are an Admin, no other member can view the Stat Block. (I Just discovered it)

The Stats block shows the details. The mod has been adjusted so it is now viewable to everyone. Download again and replace this file :

In the coupon view page, there is a block "Members who like this", should this only show to the owner of the coupon, is that the intent?

I assumed that other members would also view it and notice others who liked the coupon.

Something very strange indeed. A member X visited another members Y coupon page and the action block allowed X to Broadcast and Invite on Y's Page? 

I mean Broadcast/Invite and such special actions can only be performed by the owner/admin of the coupon in question. This could be big problem, especially if misused.

 This is the fans block. I just renamed "Fans" to "Members who like this"

 Makes sense. OK so only admin of coupon can view this. Fair enough.

 There is no viewing restriction. It is an ordinary fans box that anyone can view (once there are fans).

 There is some sort of restriction. A member visiting a coupon view, is unable to view that block, despite the fact that there are Members (Fans) of the coupon. The coupon admin can view.

 Correction : The person listing the Coupon can choose who can view fans.

 Not sure I follow. I went into the coupon edit mode and cannot find anything in the Privacy settings for that coupon that indicates who can view the fans? Am I looking in the wrong place?

 I think I found the solution. You had provided a code snippet to fix this, when I recently upgraded this mod I wrote over that change. I modified the change again just now and it seems to have fixed the issue.

This mod is now available for Dolphin 7.1

 Done, now the expiry date on the coupon shows as _expires_ and the Info (description) of the coupon does not display, all you see is ----- (a few dashes)

I have installed coupons 7.1 and changes permissions to data folder to 777 BUT for some reason barcodes are not generating or showing ?!

I have allowed the option in admin panel.

also .. the site stats so not seem to auto update for coupons unless cache is cleared by admin.

even with the right permissions I notice that no files are being added to / media / images / data  whatsoever!

another issue with barcodes is the word 'barcode' OR broke pic image appears on the 'print coupon' even if barcode is disabled in admin panel ...

I´m having the same problem with the bar code. Detective have you managed to fix this issue?, Modzz, I have seen in the code generated on the coupons that there is a function <img style="margin-bottom: 3px" src="http://sitename.com/modules/modzzz/coupons/media/images/data/" alt="Barcode">, there is no code to any image? how does this work so?. 

Still not working, I received an e-mail saying you will fix it later tonight, that was yesterday and still no solution. Please guys, we need that working as soon as possible. 

An issue with Bar Codes for Dolphin 7.1 version has been fixed.

Thank you very much for fixing the issue. Could you give a bit more detail about what is supposed to be done? what you mean with update?, where is the update file? what´s the correct way to carry out this update?.

 Download the mod again and re-upload the specified folder to your server.

I did so and it did not work, now I’m just un-installing the mod, I don´t really want to mess with my site, when you have it working please let us know. I find it really annoying to buy something which is not working; please make sure your applications work before you sell them. Could you tell me what´s your return policy?

See the mod functional at http://dolphinmods.com/71/m/coupons/home . Ensure that you clear cache after re-uploading the files. This is not a recently launched module. There was a glitch in the update of the mod to Dolphin 7.1 compatibility. 

Well I don´t know for how long this application is being in the market, but I paid for it on the 18th of January 2013 and have been for the last 3 days trying to make it work, and it hasn’t. That´s not right, now you say there is a problem with the application or glitch in the update, which means that you placed it on the market without testing it, that´s not correct is un-ethic, unless you inform customers about the fact. Or would it be ok for you to buy a new car and then after you pay for it, you find out it doesn’t work because there was a problem updating the mazda from 2 to 3?, that´s not my problem, I´m buying a product and it´s supposed to work. Also, I´m not interested in seeing the demo you are sending me, I have seen it already and as I told you, the product I paid for is not working as the demo shows. 

I think the least that you can do is apologize to your customers for the luck of respect and fix the issue not just try to justify your fault. 

Now, I get back to the issue: As I wanted to return the product but you said that you don’t return money, I´m trying to install it again, and now I have the following error:

For the installation issue mentioned above, re-download the mod and replace this folder :

     modules/modzzz/coupons/install

This issue occurs on sites that have a customized Top Menu.

The coupon is now working, however I have one question. I creted it with an image (see coupon-before cutting attached) but, once I click in the print option the coupon does´t show the image (see coupon1 attached), is that correct? is that how it´s supposed to be or is there anything wrong?

Found a bug!  Gallery image titles do not appear on the images when viewed in Internet Explorer 9.  Tested on demo as well and same issue.  I believe the same issue exists in the business listings mod.

Could we get a fix for this soon.  Thanks!

The main photo has been added to the print coupon. Download again and replace these folders then clear cache:

     modules/modzzz/coupons/classes

     modules/modzzz/coupons/templates

 This is an issue with the Dolphin Photo module itself and not isolated to Coupons. You will notice the same thing in Groups, Events .... and any other module that inherits from the Photo module.

In Privacy setting section of coupon;

If I make it View - Public only- It can be viewed by ALL (that is fine)

If I make it View - Members only - It can be viewed by public but NOT members.

I am unable to Rate coupons that are set in Privacy as either Member or Public.

I found another bug!  If you disable the bar-code feature, you can still see the bar-code when you click on "Clip Coupon". 

The convention in Dolphin modules is that only items with public view access are shown on the homepage and the main page for the module. However, if you browse (eg. browse by recent etc.), items with member view access will then show.

 Download again and replace these two files then go to your admin panel and clear cache.

HI Modzzz!  I set up a test coupon on your demo site and had it expire on Feb 12, 2013.  I looked today and it's still viewable on the homepage.

I was under the impression that once the coupon expires, it would not be viewable to other members unless you the coupon owner decides to re-list it with a new expiration date.

Could you clarify this, thanks!

 It should have expired but Cron Job was not setup on the demo site.

Added the ability to set the 'default country for localization' in the admin settings for the mod. Previously it was hardcoded to 'US'.
