Thanks for the update.  I think this mod is what I need for site announcements.  A couple more questions before I buy.  Can the announcement be placed on more than one page?  For example, can I place the announcement on both the account page and the profile page, and if they go to their account page and read and mark read, then when they go to their profile page the announcement will not be presented again; and in the reverse if they go to their profile page first.  Also, some members tend to stay logged in.  So if I create an announcement and the person stays logged in for an extended period of time, will they still see the new announcements, or do they need to log out and back in to see them?

My apologies for asking so many questions but I am trying to see how I can use the mod.

Announcement can be placed on any number of pages

Once they mark it as read, it will not show in other pages. However, if the member needs to see those announcements again, they can go the main announcement page and click on the 'I read already' browse option.

The new announcement will show if they visit another page that has the announcement block or if they happen to scroll through the announcements.

I am seeing a couple of minor bugs.  One, when "both" is selected for Allow Gender, it shows in the announcement settings:

Not Visible to Males
Not Visible to Females

The other thing is that if I click on the title of the announcement to edit the announcement and then hit submit, it creates a new announcement.

This is the 7.1 version.

7.1

I added the block to the home page, account page, and profile page.  The block is visible on the home page, the account page but it does not show up on the profile page.  What could cause this problem?

I am puzzled, the mod does not come with a Profile page block so how did you get to add the block to the profile page ?

My apologies, I forgot I was using the Profile Composer module so had to navigate to that module to add the block to the profile page as it has its own page builder.  Nothing wrong except my mistake; user error.  The module is working great, thanks for providing this tool.

I have a question.  I thought when you set an end date for the announcement that it would automatically be removed.  However, I noticed that even after the end date the announcement is still visible.

In the upcoming update, I have made it so that is only visible in the Admin panel.

I'm using a 2.0.5 version in a 7.3.2 Dolphin.

While in http://[mysite]/m/announcement I can see all my recent active/valid Announcements, in Homepage using your "_modzzz_announcement_block_homepage" I can see only one (the most recent).

May I set your special block to display all recent active/valid Announcements?

Quote · 16 Feb 2017

No, that block is specially designed to display one at a time and allows the view to take action (Skip, Read Next etc.). I would have to create another block to display the list of announcements.
