Questions...

1. If I start a site with the free version, can I make changes to the code and purchase and use the mods sold in Boonex market.

2. This is the bigger question. If I purchase the license after some code changes, will the license work ?

Yes, for sure you can make any code changes before purchasing the license or after purchasing it as long as it complies with Boonex policies. I don't think there should be any problems making code changes to customize your site needs but if you try to change the code that involves licensing, branding etc then probably there might be some issues....

As long as you do not modify any portion of the code that is encoded (Base64), you can modify the script to your likings. The encoded portion is what handles the licensing, as well as a few other things. I've always had a policy of "see, but don't touch" concerning the encoded code. I will sometimes decode it just to know what exactly goes on in there, but I don't make any modifications to it.
