You are not alone. I just came here to search the forum for reCAPTCHA as mine stopped working today as well. I don't think it has anything to do with SSL. Going to the Google reCAPTCHA site, I have a warning showing that my Dolphin site is using version 1 which will no longer be supported after March 2018. Maybe they moved the date up and Dolphin sites all now dead in the water until the reCAPTCHA version is upgraded? I just fixed my site by buying the module - https://www.boonex.com/m/recaptcha-v2-0

Mine has also stopped working. We won't be alone and it means that several, maybe hundreds of Dolphin sites can't accept new members. What make me prick up my ears is that Boonex doesn't intend to release a fix until the next update. I guess they're too busy working on UNA.

This is a major problem. As much as I appreciate Anton's hard work, he's part of the Dolphin development team and his third party module, as cheap as it is, should be distributed by Dolphin as a fix for this ongoing problem.

BoonEx is aware of the issue, but beyond that I don't have any information. Right now the only options are to either switch off reCAPTCHA and use an alternative like a security question, or use the reCAPTCHA 2 module in the market.

Google said the API would remain functional until March, so it's strange that they would do this now. I can't fault BoonEx for this, but a solution will be needed soon.

We are working on the fix. If Google will not fix this in a couple of days we'll release an urgent update.

Yes. BoonEx will release an update to reCAPTCHA v2 before then.

Google said that message would show up randomly to a small number of users, but the CAPTCHA itself will still work. It's meant to nudge site owners to upgrade to the newer version. BoonEx should have their reCAPTCHA v2 implementation out soon.
