Change Color of Member Bar

Want to change the color of the member bar along the bottom of your site to match your website's color scheme?

Look for /templates/base/images/mini_extra_menu_bg.png

Edit it with your favorite image editor and re-upload it back to it's original location.

Always make backups of ANY file changes you make.

This is an important thing to learn Chris.

I was there once also. This is not in your admin control. Its in your cpanel. You need to contact your host on how to get there. Probably- yoursite.com/cpanel.......then click file manager> then click yoursite.com> then >templates then base, then when you get to images, highlight and click edit.

Thats what the ">" or "/" signs mean...click on.

But in this sercumstance, you need to download this file, its a pic, not an editable file.

Patience, and you will get all this crap. Download into your comp, edit it the way you want in photoshop or gimp, and upload it back. Simple as that, but if you were like I was a few months back, that will take you a while.

This sentance says nothing, and its possibly spellt wrong.

Hmm, lets get tricky with this one!

Is it possible to add custom blinking text to the member bar?

I know how to do some HTML/CSS and Id like to try a few things.

Thanks in advance,
Chris from Snatfu

Arrrgh - no not blinking text.

You used to be able to use the

<blink></blink>

html element.

But thankfully it was banned from use on the interweb, along with the marquee tag.

The internet is now a much nicer place as a result

The other scourge of the internet was the animated gif, thankfully whilst not banned, this has mostly fallen into disuse.

You can create an animated gif to mimic blinking text.

Of course - the biggest question is not HOW, but WHY
