Change from default man, woman and couples.

I want to set the site up using different categories suited to swinging.

So rather than signing up and searching for a man, woman or couple, I would like custom categories. How do I do this?

Would that be in "membership", in "we are", in "looking for" or all of them?

I think he means different profile types. So when you join instead of joining as a single or couple he wants to sign up as something different.

Well, maybe what he means or needs is to change the categories/membership names; the sw community defines itself in more words than one, so "couple" would be redundant or not the best description...

That mod you suggested is a very good one, and I do suggest that he gets in touch with AntonLV because he will know exactly what he needs...

I know exactly what you mean and I am in the process of setting up a similar site......

I have kept the profile type as is.... eg..single or couple.... but I changed Sex and "Looking for"  fields to add the extra types... as a test to see if it works as I want.... failing that I will be contacting AntonLV as the others suggested.
