Disabling forums

Hello all,

Just getting started out with a new site, and don't have the time to moderate forums yet.  Was just wondering how we go about disabling the forums.

admin panel >>>builders >>>>> menu builder >>>> remove them from the menu on the page. then the other way it to remove them from access by the member levels.

That's fantastic.  The only bit I'm struggling with is that when a user logs on and goes to their 'My Account' page, under the 'Site Stats' is are stats for (i.e.) '2 topics' and '4 posts'.  They are links and clicking on them opens an empty Orca page in a new window.  Any way of removing these from the site stats?
