I will do it tonight when I have a minute. Was kind of waiting for a decent stable release of the app before I tried it. Current version of the app last time I tried it was still too clunky to bother with it...

For me it's a bit bulky for day to day use, I favor my WM6 device as I can stick it in my pocket.

I wouldn't use it for day use. That's what the iPhone is for.

The screen is best I have seen. It makes Android look like a POS.

Yes Apple definitely have the touch when it comes to adding polish to GUI's.

For me - I'm undecided - i generally get pretty excited about new tech, but just cannot seem to really find a use for this. It's too big to be a mobile device, and too small and underpowered to be of any real use as a computer. It's also not a new idea. But, I'm sure it will revolutionize something that we never knew we actually needed to do, in a way that we never knew we needed to. That's simply the way of these things.

But whilst I might not have a use for one, i like it just because Steve jobs boycotted flash implementation in favor of HTML5.

The iPad is underpowered, no camera not a true multi-tasking device and proprietory. Check out Notion Inks 'Adam' tablet (http://www.notionink.in/). This has specifications that beats any other tablet out there!

Here's a pic of my tablet. (not my actual one). It's wireless (after I managed to procure an 802 b !! PCMCIA card), and has an extra brick of a battery that clips to the back should you need to use it as a door stop. It too runs a proprietary OS, but you get used to re-flashing it after a while. (Always wanted to flash it with Linux but never got the balls to try).

I bought it a few years ago, as an experiment for a home automation system I was building. I wrote some software for it so that I could use it as a portable remote that you could take with you from room to room.

It too is very very similar to the IPAD - as it also has no camera. In fact I would almost say it was better - as it came with an integrated stylus that you could use as a kebab skewer, and a belt pouch !!! (I kid you not - lol)

Long Live Windows CE...

Underpowered is relative to what you are using it for.

For my application I don't need a camera.

I did take a look at the "Adam". I wonder if that's their way of trying to make a play on the whole "Apple" mystique.

I've never heard of the company and their web site is a work-in-progress.

What's you're experience with this tablet? Does it handle well?

They've got errors on the page that talks about standards. Shame on you Apple!

I know I'm splitting hairs with that one but I couldn't resist on account that I know DeeEmm is watching this thread.
