How do I get rid of the extra characters that I have circled in this screenshot?

Need to recompile the languages in the backend |
Recompiled the languages. Cleared site cache. Cleared browser cache.
No effect.

Uninstalled module and reinstalled it. Recompiled the languages. Cleared site cache. Cleared browser cache.
Works fine now.
