Seems to work on this end. Have you tried turning the cache and compression options off?

  • How do I fix this error
  • php module:
  • fileinfo = - FAIL (must be module fileinfo)

You'll need to install the fileinfo PHP extension, or recompile PHP with it if this is a cPanel server (via EasyApache). If you're on shared, your host will need to do this.

Do you have any emails from the cron daemon about ffmpeg.exe? Is the cron job setup? If so, please post the latest one.

And to add, there is a difference between not being able to upload and the videos stuck in processing. Please do not use these interchangeably, as that causes confusion.

I'm getting exact same problem aswell. The image uploads ok but submit button does not work. My server settings are all good aswell. That is not all. YouTube video embed does not work at all and when clicking the plus icon to create a new album on photos or videos does not create a new album at all either.

from my hosting company ---- >

Hello,

Checking the video upload and processing issues you are seeing here:

website

It looks like the video are upload and processing out of the queue as expected, however the videos themselves
are having failures:

http:// com/m/videos/administration/home/failed

You may need to contact dolphin directly in regards to why these videos are failing to process
and the specific conversion logs failures as that may give you more information.

Please let us know if there is anything else.

Have a GREAT Day!

After reading all this and all your other post, you need a new host.

Re-installing Dolphin is never going to solve your problems until your server is capable and tuned for it.

[ new error - gateway time-out ]

 php.ini timings,

I'm going to quote DosDawg and not post the link.

it may not be a limit on the video size as much as it is the max_execution time. even processing 100mb video and converting it would be quite strenuous on a server. specifically considering the http protocol that is not really meant for the purpose of uploading something that size. there are methods and protocols used for larger video files and video streaming.

possibly consider reading up on streaming media, and see what you can come up with. but i think your issue is the processing time on the video, not so much the file size. since we are forced to use the ffmpeg convertor on here, then it has to be processed and we are not able to just upload any video format. the other weird thing i have found is that even if you upload flv which is what the videos are getting converted to, it still wants to run through the conversion process.

ugh, hopefully we can adapt more modern technology for this process in the near future.

Have you any server skills?

This all goes back to why shared hosting is a bad idea when trying Dolphin.

Especially when the future customer is looking to upload and process videos.

New members are unaware that in the flash modules, the setting alone to convert the videos using

"Use H264 Codec"

I finally deselected the "Use H264 Codec" and now videos process quickly, 70MB video used to take 30-40 minutes.

Now can process videos so far upwards of 200MB and in only 4 minutes to encode, less than two minutes to do a 70MB video. I'm happy

That is something I posted long ago when working with large videos.

Now the H264 conversion is necessary if your planning on using the HTML5 player.

If your using a shared host and upload a 80MB video, most music videos are about this size, with the setting for the best video playback, your looking to either timeout or overload your system resources and get warnings from your host.

I just used "Softaculous Auto Installer" to install fresh 7.2 on shared hosting.

If video upload will not work on shared hosting maybe there should be a note somewhere on the download or buyer page.

2. when you try to upload image from iphone you get error Wrong file extension

thank you

 Our bad...

I just used "Softaculous Auto Installer" to install fresh 7.2 on shared hosting.

We should have ask you that long ago.

It's best to manually install. Those auto installers are not the most reliable method.

Search the forums and you will see.

Hope you can get a better method to install it.

after auto install another error appeared when you try to upload image from iphone you get error Wrong file extension,

I give up, you guys will have to fix it after someone pays for new license then wants money back

So does this mean you can't run 7.2 on shared host?

Yes...you can. I am running it on TMD shared hosting. It works fine. Although, as your community grows, shared servers will show to be less beefy as what you may need. All resources from that server are shared across multiple sites therefore functionality and speed is poor as it grows.

I do have  5.4.45 and fileinfo enabled + all cache and compression deactivated.

And the best message I get is : Photo upload failed..

Quote · 27 Sep 2015

Yea we have seen this too, you can have your php proper version, everything enabled, permissions okay and still get sporadic video upload failed.  Dolphin is great but with video and photo uploads, it needs ALOT of work. This is a social networking platform and it fails at the basic level of photo/video sharing....

Could be overridden with FTP forced uploads if they would just program it as an option and eliminate all this headache.  We run dedicated, monster servers and cannot get this to work with Dolphin.  Unfortunate.

I run many sites with video uploads, a couple from home, and paid for servers.

Your settings need to be fine tuned.

Post your audit page, and server resources.

This is a server run as a demo mostly but over the years I've uploaded videos and tuned this server for optimum results then set all others I setup using similar settings.

Some videos are processed with and without h264 codec.
