 When I open up the edit group it should present a list of files with check marks on them. If you uncheck a file it should delete that file, however, it only presents the first file in the group to be checked or unchecked. How do I delete the other files?

Every group on the edit page has the buttons like "Add photo", "Add video" and "Add file". So if you click any of them you will see the list of your files which were uploaded before. If you uncheck any item there and press "Upload" button - this file(s) will be deleted.
