HTML in 'HTML Blocks' not behaving itself... any ideas?

HTML Source Editor (plugins/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/source_editor.htm) accessed via the 'HTML' button within an HTML Block in Page Builder is adding code to the input HTML. I seem to recall a mod somewhere from a while back that would remove the TinyMCE bit and simply replace the whole HTML Block as a straight empty HTML-ready page. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? It meant that the HTML you input is the HTML that is output on the final page. HELP! Thank you!

Yeah... I thought is was stupid that they put a tinyMCE editor to use as an html editor.  I understand how code can be stripped, but I don't understand how code can be added.

I'd rather they put in a source code editor with syntax highlighting.

After adding a reasonably simple combination of tables... it added some extra table tags and actually deleted the XFBML code which isn't really too useful. It's why I've been thinking Facebook changed its XFBML code... actually it was upgrading to 7.0.4 on here that removed the fix for the HTML Blocks section I had on 7.0.2 - I can't find it!

I looked for it too, and couldn't find it.  I know Deano posted it, but I still couldn't find it.

Yep.

All it needs now is something like Code Mirror in the text area

Excellent, thanks Deano, that's the one. And it solved the problem as expected, great!
