Help. MS Edge randomly won't upload using HTML5?

HOW TO TEST/REPLICATE (7.3.4)

Using Photos or Files and the HTML5 Multiloader,

  • Upload a 1.5MB file.  Fail.
  • Upload a 40KB file. Success.
  • Upload a 200KB file. Fail.
  • Starting at 40KB and work up to 55KB. Success.  >55KB. Fail.
  • Upload a 1700KB file. Success. WTF?

Observation.  There must be some kind of client buffer in Edge that causes an upload fail if it overfills before the transfer is complete.

Can not replicate with FF, Chrome, Android or even Internet Explorer!  Have not tested Safari yet.  Since it seems isolated to MS Edge, I don't think it is a server side issue. Maybe.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Maybe it's a code or library issue.  Using the 'regular' uploader, Edge has no issue, regardless of the size.

Clearing the Edge cache helps but literally a picture can partially load and display only a portion of the overall size.  The top half is the image, the bottom half is blank.  Odd.

Telling site visitors not to use MS Edge is not really an option.  Really don't want to use the 'regular' upload but if the html5 uploader is not working with Edge, I suppose that's the only option.

Anyone?
