How do I block China

Hi, I've finally decided to bite the bullet and block the whole of China from my site.  I'm getting about 30 spammers a day join and nearly all of them are from China.  It's such a pity because my site, www.connectmining.com is geared towards mining and there's such a huge number of miners in China but it's taking me around 2 hours a day now to delete the spammers.

So, I've been through the forums, which are from around 2 years ago and thought I'd ask what is the latest consensus on HOW to block an entire country from JOINING your site?

Any and all comments are very appreciated.

Cheers guys,

Mark

I just split my join form into 2 pages and it stopped them in their tracks. I was getting 10 - 15 a day.  Peddling their fake prada crap.

Go to Admin Panel -> Tools -> Antispam Tools -> Settings:

Turn on "Enable DNS Block Lists" setting.

Then go to Admin Panel -> Tools -> Antispam Tools -> DNS Blocklists:

Activate "cn.countries.nerd.dk." record in this table. CN is for China, so it is possible to add other DNS Block rules to block or allow any other countries.

I too split my join form into two screen and they almost disappeared, at least all the bots did. Now I have a few human spammers visit and make a nuisance, but I can deal with a few here and there.

I would certainly try this approach, before banning the entire nation.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Another question if I may:

How would I split my join form into 2 pages?

Thanks again,

Mark

Using Cloudflare.com has taken Chinese, Russian and Nigerian spammers from 40 a day to none.
