How do I create a search feature

What I am trying to do is to use dolphin as a role play hook up site But I need to have a 

search feature so people can search for other people by different topics ?

By default, all input profile fields can be used for the search procedure. Or oyu may correct it with the profile fields builder. Plz provide us an example about your purpose.

You might also want to look at these two modules in the market; they may help you to build a search form to meet your needs.  I am not saying they will, only they might.
