How to copy blocks from other page via page buildr

Do you guys know how to copy some homepage blocks and use them in the account page via page builder?  For example, I don't want all recent forum posts by me in my  account page, i want all recent posts by all members.  I also want to add all recent polls in the account page as well.  Do i have to go in some files in class folder and copy them over or do some in phpMyAdmin?  I'm not sure what's the best way to do this.  I hope you can help me out.  Thanks.

Not from page builders. You would have to copy blocks in the database via phpmyadmin. Then clear the cache.

Table where all the blockes are located is sys_page_compose

Not all blocks can be copied. Quite a few blocks are written specifically for the page they were designed to be on, and will not work on other pages. One of the reasons the blocks are not available in every page in the page builder.

I have a mod that makes this task much easier. http://www.boonex.com/unity/extensions/entry/Block_Tools

Edit:  i see some red blocks in the image. does that mean they can't be moved?  the rest can?

My wording i believe is Most Likely. On both. This meens red will most likely not work. Green most likely will, but the reason i say most likely is becuse a few of them don't.

I don't have a list of what ones have been tested on what page. But i can test, i would need to know specifics to test. From page builders, the name of the page, the blocks caption to copy from and what page it is to be copied to as named in pagebuilder. I do not guess from a description. Becuse recent posts and recent polls mean nothing to me. The only block i see on the home page with the word recent in it is recently added sites. That is why accuracy in the names is imporant.

I tested on both IE8 and Firefox just now, and the link worked both times. So i can't find a link problem to fix.

But it's easy to find.

Just go to the market and put block tools in the search box. It's the first one that appears in the search results.

When i hover over i link, unity is there, and it also works when i click on it, so i don't get why it's not showing up properly for others. This is odd.

Odd. You link does not work for me. The word forums appears in your link for some weird reason.

Yea, and i see it did not complete properly. I'll fix it now. Give me a couple of minutes. This checkout problem occures way to often. Boonex needs to look into this.

Looks like they got a problem with the way urls are formatted some times.

When you use this url for this thread, everything is fine: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/How-to-copy-blocks-from-other-page-via-page-buildr.htm

When this url is used, your link doesn't work: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/#topic/How-to-copy-blocks-from-other-page-via-page-buildr.htm

Not sure where the # symbol is coming from, but it messes things up, because it looks like links are being converted from absolute to relative when they are posted.
