Installation Paths

Hi,

I have my own vps. I installed Dolphin 7. I mainly wanted to check out what it is like. I have been using Joomla all my life and only came across this yesterday. I am interested in bumping to the full proffessional. It looks fantastic so far.

On install all when well - and installed no problem. Skipped over the paths...bit

I could not find the paths it wanted to pHP etc. I searched my php for those paths -not there. It also said I should install Magicimage or something like that??

All seems fine- accept some small quirks.

Profile - click on it  - 404 page not found Shows up as: www.mysite.com/social/glenn there is no .php at the end - is it generation sef links? Do I need .htaccess.

Is this caused by the paths bit, and how can I fix this?

Help will be apprechiated

Regards

Glenn

When you uploaded the Dolphin package, there should have already been a .htaccess file in there. By the looks of it, you have installed this in a sub-directory called social. I would check the social directory (also known as the root of your dolphin install) for the .htaccess file.

Also, when going to your profile, there will be no .php after it.

there is no file extension because these are supposed to be SEF URL's.
