Join Form issue in Microsoft Edge & Opera Browser

Hello,

The Join form is not working (loading) in Microsoft Edge and Opera Browser, both Computer and mobile broswers.  So no way to sign up or login to the site. Can someone test it and confirm this problem? Is Boonex team aware of this issue? and how to fix it?

I have tested it using Dolphin 3.5.0

Thanks

Hello DigitZup!

Please specify the versions of your browsers where you met the troubles with Dolphin. But form my side, in Opera 58 it works fine.

Hello LeonidS,

Thanks  for your reply. Sorry, after reading your message, I've double checked and found out that in fact, the Join form works in Microsoft Edge and Opera, both Computer and Mobile Browsers but in one condition: Only if you visit another page (e.g. people, photos etc) then go back to the home page, then the Join form loads.

Ok let me explain myself. Here is what is happenning: If you access Dolphin site from a browser or computer or mobile browser that has never accessed Dolphin before, the Join form on the home page doesn't load. Even the icon next to the Join and Login button does't display properly. You have to browser any other page(e.g. people, photos etc)  and go back to the home page, then the join form starts working and everything is back to normal in Microsoft Edge and Opera in both Computer and Mobile Browsers.

Please try to reproduce what I am saying and you will understand what I am trying to explain to you.

I don't know whether it is a Dolphin or browser issue. But it's very weird because many new visitors to site using these browsers will not have the quick thinking to visit another page before making the Join form to load and signing up. They will just leave the site.

Any explanation or fix to this issue?

Thanks

At my site, the user must use HTTPS:// when typing the url into the url window.  I am using zarconia as my host and is configured to use SSL in the "Manage Installed SSL Websites" within the SSL/TLS section of the cpanel menu.

Hello DigitZup!

As gary11 told (thnx!) it may be the http / https issue. It looks like the redirect on your site (inc/header.inc.php file) doesn't work properly. Provide me an access to Control Panel of your site.

Hello LeonidS and Gary,

Thank you both for your replies. My site on my server is set correctly and the redirect works fine. When users type http, the server delivers https.

I have checked the SSL/TLS section of the cpanel, everything is fine. I have a valid SSL certificate and SSL Keys installed on the Server. I am using the AutoSSL issued by cPanel, Inc without any problem.

Cpanel (SSL/TLS section) shows me that the SSL is successfully installed on the following domain and subdomains:

mysitehere.com

autodiscover.mysitehere.com

cpanel.mysitehere.com

mail.mysitehere.com

webdisk.mysitehere.com

webmail.mysitehere.com

www. mysitehere.com (note: I put a space to avoid the link created by the editor)

chat.mysitehere.com

www. chat.mysitehere.com (note: I put a space to avoid the link created by the editor)

I am having this issue only in Microsoft Edge and Opera Browser. There is absolutely no problem in Chrome, Firefox Mozilla and many other Browsers. Everything is working fine, no http / https issue.

I think that it might have something to do with Microsoft Edge and Opera Browsers because I have managed to reproduce this issue with the Dolphin demo site (demo.boonex.com).

Any idea?

Regards

Still can't reproduce it in Opera. Plz PM me with the real URLs of your Dolphin site.

open your inc/header.inc.php file.

on line 3, make sure your $site['url'] points to "https://(your site url)
