NO Support

I have just purchased Dolphin Pro at great costs to myself having used oxwall software for free for many years. The question I have is why is there no support from BOONEX? I have only requested one request for support and still I am awaiting an answer. I am starting to think I have made a costly mistake spending all this money and moving over to Dolphin Pro.

There is support and someone will answer.  There is also the forum; you can post questions and issues here and we will try to help as well.  Don't worry, you have not made a costly mistake, Dolphin is a robust platform and the community helps to support the platform as well as Boonex.

The date you see is because the date is stored as a UNIX timestamp and for some reason it is storing all zeros in that field, which would be the starting time of the UNIX epoch.  I seem to recall that this was reported before so maybe I can find it in the forum.

Can you check to see if any of the other modules you have installed are also storing the wrong date?

It looks like some problem with the database, I would suggest to reinstall Simple Messenger (if messages data isn't critical, since it will be deleted).

If it doesn't help, then open bx_simple_messenger_messages table in phpMyAdmin and check what is stored in Date field and post the result here.

I'm afraid still no further forward the Boonex Team have said the problem is down to a custom modification by https://www.boonex.com/pcintegrad they have responded and said the fault is not down to their module, so here I am stuck in the middle. I have requested again to the Boonex Team to talk to PCIntegrad and get to the root of the problem and fix it. The wait continues and my patience is wearing thin.

What was the modification that pcinegrad made to your site?  Have you contacted pcintegrad and inform them of the issue their modification has caused?   That should be your next step, contact pcintegrad.  If they don't respond, then you have cause to file a dispute.

 

Did Boonex provide details of the problem with the modifcation?  If so, then post it here so the community can review it.

The Boonex Team have said pcintegrad have changed the coding which has caused it but they keep denying it. I have sent them this https://gyazo.com/52e6d213eed6b11ebb1ef5450b843f95 after further investigation by the Boonex Team who keep on saying that they are at fault. I am no techie so its all above me I'm afraid. I am now awaiting a response from pcintegrad if the issue is not rectified this time around I will be removing the module and installing clean files with the help from the Boonex Team to get my simple messenger working again as advertised. Thanks again for your support through this.

Instead of doing all that, simply replace the file (after making a backup of it) from the zip archive of your Dolphin version overwriting the file on your server with the copy from the archive.  That should fix your problem.

Thank you again geek_girl for your support and advice. The Boonex Team will inform them to rectify the issues in their module so no other people will not have to experience the same issues. I have had no response today from Pcintegrad in relation to even looking into the problem. I shall await another day and keep you posted.

I'm pleased to report that the issues have now been fixed thanks to the Boonex Team and pcIntegrad. I have just moved over from using the Oxwall Software to the Dolphin Pro. Best thing I did as Dolphin is a sound and robust product and fully customized for a user like myself with minimal tech skills. The only downside I have experienced is with some of the third party modules. My advice would be to ensure all the modules are fully tested to make sure all the features work. I would also like to see the Technical Checklist filled in as mandatory as you don't know until you have purchased it if any manual changes are required. Apart from this I am looking forward to being apart of the Dolphin Pro and this community.
