Are these video embed files are uploaded files?  Check the permissions on the ffmpeg.exe file located in /flash/modules/global/apps.  Set the permissions to 777 if it is not already set to that level.

Hello,

That is what I thought.  This was reported once before.  ffmpeg.exe is used to generate the thumbs for embedded videos, so if ffmpeg.exe can not run, you will get the result you saw.  Check the permissions and if not set to 777, set it to that value.

Permissions are OK, but it still does not work.

OK, now that we know the permissions are set correctly we can move ahead.   Be advised that old videos will still have the large thumbnails.  Any changes we do will only affect new videos that are added.

Go to the admin panel, modules, videos, and click on Settings.

Scroll down and check these two settings:

Width of video browse unit (in pixels):

Height of video browse unit (in pixels):

Mine are set to the default of 140 and 102.

My guess would be that it would be ffmpeg.  How did you install Dolphin?  What is your server type?  The ffmpeg that ships with Dolphin is for a Linux server.  Do you have any issues reported under Host Tools in your admin.  Have you check the permissions list under Host Tools for any incorrect permissions?
