Redirect - Controlled Access Mod Support (Modzzz)

This is the support forum for the Redirect - Controlled Access mod.

Version 2.0.1 released. (see patches/version_2.0.1 folder for instructions)

Added the ability for members to input their own URL instead of having only pre-defined URLs configured by Admin. This is a membership-level controlled feature.

This module is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

Added options to redirect on join and un-registration.

Other general improvements made.

I read that D7.1.6 made redirecting admins impossible.

Is that true with this mod as well for 7.3.0?

 I have found no issue with Admins. However, the mod has this functionality disabled (you could enable it if you wish).

Added option in the Admin settings section to turn on/off redirecting when logged in as Administrator.

what is the URL for "Redirect Welcome Page" and "Redirect Exit Page", and if redirect after join to index.php, user is redirected to splashpage (home.php), this may be caused by my customized index.php, do you know any other URL or way that can redirected users to homepage after join is complete?

This is  a decision that you must make. For example, on logout you may choose to redirect to another website that you own etc.

There is a conflict with your splash page which can only be resolved by some code changes.

admin page builder has 2 new pages after installing the module, Redirect Welcome Page and Redirect Exit page, was asking how to find the pages, where are they or what URL to access them?

 Those are not used anymore in the latest version of the module.They will be removed in the next update.

Can this mod be used as a separate join/login/redirect page? What i mean if main site is mysite.com/community

can this live in mysite.com and be used to join/login then redirect to member area?

Thanks Modzzz i may still get it anyway, I got a few more of your mods to check uut befor i upgrade to 7.3 make sure they work on my test site first

hi Modzzz me again, I found an issue i have with the mod not sure whats happening but when i installed it when i log out or click home page it goes blank nothing there, even when logged out and cleared cache etc and browser cache then i go to my website via google my splash join page was gone just a blank index page, after i uninstalled it still had issue couldn't find home or splash page etc, so i went back to my other index.php and renamed the edited one for the mod and presto i can find all home page splash page etc again.

Not sure if its anything to do with my template or other mods but would like to figure this out and btw it has nothing to do with what code work you just did great job thanks

@mlbs - It does not seem as if your problem stemmed from Page Redirect module as the module does not overwrite or rename any files at all. Therefore, it is impossible for the module to have affected your splash page.

it is weird but something to do with the change on the index.php code we add for mod to work, as if i use old index.php i have no issues, Maybe my template or splash page doesnt work with it I will double check again reinstall mod and see if i can figure issue out and let you know

 The module does not have any instructions to make any change to index.php

sorry my bad then I will have to check when i get home from work as i do not have ftp program on this laptop and cant install anything as blocked, Must be another mod of yours i have will have to look later maybe pages mod is only other thing i could think of will let you know.

my bad Modzzz it is the code from your invitation mod that replaces code in index.php that causing problems i will move to that support thread.

Nothing is wrong with the Invitation code. I have checked your site and you made a mistake while making the changes to the index.php. I have fixed the mistake and your site should be OK now.
