Registration by Invitation Support (Modzzz)

This is the support forum for the "Registration by Invitation" module.

Hi Modzzz it seems the code on the index.php that we have to add or merge index.php provided causes my site to loose splash page/join page home page and when searching for site via web i get just a blank index.php not my spalsh.php

I have already left comment on other mod support thread to let you know it was nothing to do with that mod and was moving to correct support thread.

could it be something to do with my template or splash page that cause this to not work with your mod?

Nothing is wrong with the Invitation code. I have checked your site and you made a mistake while making the changes to the index.php. I have fixed the mistake and your site should be OK now.

we've installed and activated the plugin and made the code changes, however there doesn't seem to be a way for the invitation to actually be redeemed.

Can you assist? 

@FourthEstate - There is an admin section that allows you to send Invitations (http://www.yourdomain.com/m/invitation/administration/create) . Once an Invitation is sent, the Email will automatically contain a link to your site and this link has a referral code attached.

We've been getting the following error

The following file is updated to solve an issue with sending reminders : modules/modzzz/invitation/classes/BxInvitationDb.php

I'm thinking.....

Would it be possible to have a 'pre-join' page, where people have to 'submit an application'.

ie: pre fill-in a join page and if the form is satisfactorily completed, potential member gets an invite to join.

@TravelNotes - You would have to get that done as a custom job.

I've reported directly to you via PM that the invite url link is invalid and the invited user cannot join.  Please advise.

The module was updated on March 6th. I forgot to post an announcement here. Please download the module and re-upload the files to your server.

I've uploaded the files again, double checked the modifications on inc/design.inc.php, index.php and join.php files and the result of my invite url is still the same: "Page is not found".

@badass - I checked your site and your 'page not found' issue is due to some functionality regarding redirecting to a splash page. It has nothing to do with the Invitations module.
